Overview

We start by getting to know each other and your project during our free initial consultation call.

Next, we’ll arrange a time and place for our consultation meeting where we’ll discuss your brief, goals and scope.

I’ll also give you a welcome pack and a questionnaire to help understand your style, preferences and budget.

You can share some inspiration photos/ Pinterest boards if you have them.

I’ll explain what photos we need, and ask you to send these so I can get a feel for your space.
I’ll also explain what measurements I need and how to measure up, to ensure the design and furniture fit perfectly in your space.
If you have a floor plan available, then that is perfect, but if not, a hand drawing with notes is fine.
Alternatively, I can come out to measure up, for an additional cost (depending on location).
If required, I will review any architectural work and talk with the architect or surveyor.

Next, we’ll dive into the creative part of the process.

During this stage I will:

Prepare a concept board that shows the overall look and feel of your new space.
Use computer-aided design software to draw up the floor plan to scale, based on your measurements.
Consider different layout options and traffic flow diagrams.
Research and test various furniture, fittings and equipment to suit your style and function.

Once the design concept is complete, we’ll have a video call to agree on the design ideas and make any adjustments.

Once you’re happy with the design concept, we’ll move on to the technical part of the process.

During this stage I will:

Prepare a digital sample board that shows the materials, colours and textures of your space.
Prepare technical drawings that include 2D floor plans and elevations, complete with furniture, fittings and equipment selections.
Optional: Lighting and electrical plans.
Optional: Create rendered drawings and 3D models that will allow you to see your space in realistic detail.
Optional: Detail drawings for bespoke furniture.

Once the drawing package is complete, we’ll have a video call to talk through the drawings and models, and answer any questions you may have.

Once agreed, I’ll finalise your design.

I’ll send across your final design package, including all the documents you need to bring your design to life.
