Overview
How it Works
1. Consultation
We start by getting to know each other and your project during our free initial consultation call.
Next, we’ll arrange a time and place for our consultation meeting where we’ll discuss your brief, goals and scope.
I’ll also give you a welcome pack and a questionnaire to help understand your style, preferences and budget.
You can share some inspiration photos/ Pinterest boards if you have them.
2. Design Concept
Next, we’ll begin the creative part of the process.
During this stage I will:
- Review any architectural work and meet with the architect or surveyor if needed.
- Visit your home/space and take measurements and photos.
- Prepare a concept board that shows the overall look and feel of your new space.
- Consider different layout options and traffic flow diagrams.
- Research and test various furniture, fittings and equipment that suit your style and function.
Once the design concept is complete, we’ll meet to agree on the design ideas and make any adjustments.
3. Drawing Package
Once you’re happy with the design concept, we’ll move on to the technical part of the process.
During this stage I will:
- Prepare a sample board that shows the materials, colours and textures of your space.
- Prepare technical drawings that include:
- 2D floor plans and elevations, complete with furniture, fittings and equipment selections.
- Lighting and electrical plans.
- Joinery drawings for bespoke furniture.
- Create rendered drawings and 3D models that will allow you to see your space in realistic detail.
- Prepare furniture, fittings and equipment schedule.
When the drawing package is complete, we’ll meet to talk through and walk through the drawings and models, and answer any questions you have.
Once agreed, I’ll produce a project management plan, and all the schedules and plans to ensure a smooth installation of the design.
4. Installation Management
Now, it’s time to bring your design to life.
During this stage I will:
- Manage the purchase, collection and delivery of the furniture, fittings and equipment.
- Liaise with suppliers and logistics providers on your behalf.
- Commission any bespoke joinery that will add a unique touch to your space.
- Assist you with the selection of contractors and tradespeople, and oversee their work.
- Provide project management throughout, including regular update meetings with you, the contractors and tradespeople.
- Supervise the installation, including regular site visits and quality control.
- Stage and style your space, adding the final touches that will make it look amazing!
5. Handover
Finally, I’ll hand over your new space to you.
I’ll walk you through your space and show you how everything works.
We’ll have a hand-over meeting, where you will receive a pack with all the instructions and information you need to enjoy your new space.
This will be a great opportunity for feedback and to make sure you’re completely satisfied with the result.
