New Connections: My First Manchester Networking Evening

Earlier this month, I hosted my very first networking event in Manchester with the help of the brilliant Magda Haner from Pride Road Architects. Our Christmas social brought together a mix of architects, interior designers, builders, and other property professionals – in a friendly, informal setting to connect and share ideas.

For me, it was a great opportunity to meet people across the industry and introduce myself not just as a Manchester-based interior designer, but as someone who cares about well-being, communication, and creating comfortable, family-friendly homes. I wanted to show that interior design goes beyond aesthetics – it’s about supporting busy lifestyles and shaping environments that truly reflect our values.

The turnout was wonderful, and guests noted how welcoming and easygoing the atmosphere felt. That sense of ease mirrors the approach I take in my work: designing spaces that are both inviting and practical, with each family’s daily rhythms in mind. 

By connecting with a range of professionals – structural engineers, kitchen specialists, surveyors, and more – my aim is to build a trusted network for my clients that prioritises quality, reliability, and a personalised touch.

I’m still in the early stages of my design career, and I’m open about that. My years in professional services have taught me the importance of good communication, empathy, and really listening to people’s needs. These are the qualities I bring to each project, ensuring clients feel more relaxed, inspired, and at home in their spaces.
