I am excited to launch the new website for my Manchester based interior design studio, Spaces by Kelly. This marks a significant milestone for my interior design business.
My Interior Design Journey
As many of you know, I left the corporate world after 15 years and retrained as an interior designer – a dream I’ve had for many years. In 2021 I enrolled in the Higher National Certificate in Interior Design course with the British Academy of Interior Design. Balancing study, projects and being a mummy of two little ones certainly meant there was never a dull moment!
Three years later…I’m happy to share that I graduated with Distinction! This achievement means the world to me —design qualifications are incredibly demanding.
Next Steps for my Interior Design Business
During my course, I still worked on interior design projects. However, now I’ve fully qualified, I’m able to give it my all. Entering the world of interior design and business ownership is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to see where this journey leads. I am excited to bring personal, innovative, sustainable and beautiful design solutions to my clients.
Creating my website was a top priority. While I had a clear aesthetic vision, bringing it to life required a lot of effort. I’ve spent months learning about themes, widgets, SEO optimisation and user experience to create an engaging and helpful space.
Now I’m finally at a place where I can launch my own website!
Although it is far from perfect (my software engineer husband will have his own thoughts), I hope you find it user friendly, inspiring and above all else, helpful in creating your own dream space!
